Berkshire Badminton Coaches
Association
The Berkshire Badminton Coaches Association is an organisation set
up by practising coaches who are interested in promoting and improving
the abilities of coaches registered within Berkshire. You are probably
aware that our sport in England is undergoing a series of fairly
innovative changes with respect to coaching techniques. What is current
best practise is not the same as it was a few years ago. Our primary
purpose is to strengthen, improve and share coaching ideas in the
county.
To this aim we hold regular seminars aimed at
teaching the latest techniques and improving old ones !! The seminars
help update coaching
skills by informing and demonstrating to coaches current international
coaching practice. These sessions will involve coaches from the B.A.of
E. coaching staff. After each seminar we look for participant’s
input to help us programme the forth-coming session to ensure everyone
gets the most out of the programme. The more you comment the more
the seminars will reflect what you want.
The Association looks to offer support to coaches and their sessions
in and around the area. We also are trying to attract non-practising
coaches to start practising again and encourage new coaches by offering
some financial assistance to help cover training costs. We want to
establish a very strong coaching baseline that will develop junior
and senior badminton in Berkshire. With your help we will achieve
this.
